Privacy Policy
We respect the privacy of our customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we, CattleSync, LLC ("CattleSync"), collect, use, share, and protect your information. Please read this policy carefully to understand our use of your information and the steps we take to protect it. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE OUR SOFTWARE OR SERVICES.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating this Privacy Policy on our website or applications. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
By accessing or using our Software or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy, and your continued use of our Software or Services after the date any revised Privacy Policy is posted constitutes your agreement with any changes.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party websites or applications that may link from our software or services. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any such third-party websites or applications so that you can understand how those websites or applications collect, use and share your information. CattleSync is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content outside of our software or services.
What kind of information is collected?
We may collect and store information about you that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, physical contact information, accounting transaction data, your customer contact information, and other information or data submitted through interaction with our products or services.
Our servers may automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, or referring website addresses. Our servers may also automatically collect information about your mobile device, including device type, storage, operating system, and network connectivity. This information is used by us for the operation of our software and services, to maintain quality, and to provide general statistics regarding use of software or services.
Voice Input and Audio Data
When you use the voice entry feature, audio recordings of your voice are temporarily transmitted to our servers and to third-party artificial intelligence and speech recognition services for the purpose of converting your speech to text and interpreting the results. Audio recordings are not permanently stored by CattleSync. Third-party providers may temporarily retain your data for a limited period in accordance with their own data retention policies. The resulting text transcription is permanently stored as part of your animal records and is synced to our servers. You may record additional correction audio, which is handled in the same manner as the initial recording.
How is the collected data used?
Information collected may be used to enhance services provided by us, to prevent fraudulent activity, and to collect information and data related to the use of our software or services. CattleSync may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from us and our affiliates.
CattleSync will not sell or share your personal information with third parties or for any commercial purposes without your consent. We may disclose aggregated and non-personally-identifiable information about the use of our products and services publicly or with third parties to help us improve our products and services.
We may also use trusted third-party service providers and vendors to help us in providing our software and services to you, such as services to host our software, for processing payments, or to send and receive text / SMS messages. We may also store personal information and other data on servers or in locations that are outside of our direct control. These service providers would have access to your information for the limited purpose of providing the service we have contracted with them to provide.
Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following categories of third-party service providers who may have access to your data for the limited purposes described above: cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (including Microsoft Azure), payment processors (Apple App Store and Google Play), and artificial intelligence and speech recognition providers. These providers are contractually required to handle your data only as directed and only to the extent necessary to provide their respective services.
Finally, we may disclose your information and data in response to lawful requests from public or government authorities if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to do so to comply with a law or order, to protect a person's safety, or to protect our rights or property.
Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party Processing
Certain features of the Software use third-party artificial intelligence and speech recognition services to process your input and provide structured results. When you use the voice entry feature, your transcribed text is sent to these services for interpretation. These services process your data solely to provide the requested functionality. Their data handling practices are governed by their own terms of service and data processing agreements, which are subject to change by those providers. CattleSync encourages you to review the privacy practices of applicable third-party AI providers if you have questions about how your data is handled downstream. CattleSync may collect anonymized and aggregated usage data related to voice entry (such as feature usage frequency) to improve the service. No personally identifiable information is included in this aggregated data.
